Today we’re going to talk about the legacy of a truly great Bible teacher and the sanctifying power of God. Warren Weirsbe’s commentaries and Bible studies are legendary. Weirsbe’s commentaries and Bible studies were on every shelf and in every small group in the late 20th century, and I keep them on my shelf. So I am excited to talk to Dan Jacobsen, Weirsbe’s grandson, who has spent the last two years shaping an unpublished manuscript written by his grandfather. A great conversation about faithfulness, legacies, and the vocation of study.
The most common reason for which John Wesley removed people from the Methodist roll was “lightness and carelessness” (journal, 3/12/1743). He couldn't casual and disconnected observation. To be Methodist is to alive to the Spirit at work in community.

A great conversation wtih Shane Bishop and Michael Wooten. Grateful for their hearts for Jesus.
Holiness is at least this: a design of life that exposes us most fully to the heart of a good, loving and creative God.
