McKnight is a recognized authority on the historical Jesus, early Christianity, and New Testament. His blog, Jesus Creed, is a leading Christian blog. He has authored or edited more than seventy-five books. McKnight is the Julius R. Mantey Professor of New Testament at Northern Seminary in Lisle, IL and also an ordained Deacon in the Anglican Church of North America.
